Today's Quote
“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”

Today's Quote
“To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”

Today's Quote
I've worked out of a series of no's. No to exquisite light, no to apparent compositions, no to the seduction of poses or narrative. And all these no's force me to the "yes." I have a white background. I have the person I'm interested in and the thing that happens between us.

Today's Quote
"Among the models I photograph for the fashion magazines, I recognize immediately the ones that have studied dance. They know how to carry their heads, they have a certain way of sitting and a natural elegance that the mastery of their bodies has shaped forever."

Today's Quote
"Adventure is not only measured in kilometres. Strong emotions are not only found in front of the Parthenon. Emotion, if you are worthy of it, will be felt before the smile of a child returning home with his school books, a tulip in a vase touched by a ray of sunlight, or the face of a beloved woman."

Angus

It was one year ago that we were in Australia. Thanks to our friend Nadine, we had the opportunity of meeting Sue and Angus ...... who turned out to be great hosts, guides ..... and a year later ..... still friends. The above photo is one of my favorite portraits (even if Angus thinks he looks a bit old).
Today's Quote
"There are two kinds of photographers: those who compose pictures and those who take them. The former work in studios. For the latter, the studio is the world. . . . For them, the ordinary doesn't exist: every thing in life is a source of nourishment."

Glass
The Lighthouse LensCAPE Otway Lightstation is the oldest, surviving lighthouse in mainland Australia and is located on the Great Ocean Road. The light, which has been in continuous operation since 1848, is perched on towering sea cliffs where Bass Strait and the Southern Ocean collide. For thousands of immigrants, after many months at sea, Cape Otway was their first sight of land after leaving Europe.

Australia's Great Ocean Road

London Arch
The Great Ocean Road is considered to be one of the most beautiful travel spots on the planet (The Great Barrier Reef is ranked No. 1). It is a 273km stretch of road along the South Eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian cities of Torquay and Warrnambool. The road was constructed as a Memorial to those killed in the First World War.Just beyond the amazing Twelve Apostles is London Arch (formerly known as London Bridge before the very recent collapse of land section).

Barefoot
The Bay of Fundy is a bay on the Atlantic coast of North America, on the northeast end of the Gulf of Maine between the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, with a small portion touching the U.S. state of Maine. The Bay of Fundy is known for its high tidal range and the bay is contested as having the highest vertical tidal range in the world with Ungava Bay in northern Quebec and The Severn Estuary in the UK.
